CRYPTOGRAPHY

NADO and LOCK KEY cryptography are novel approaches to cryptography with practical implementations. One implementation satisfies Shannon's definition of perfect secrecy. The encryption and decryption speeds are substantially faster than RSA.
The algorithms are much faster because they execute fewer and faster register machine instructions than current encryption algorithms. RSA has a computational bottleneck because it exponentiates a number with an extremely large number. Furthermore, the security of RSA is dependent upon the computational difficulty of factoring. Substantial advances in factoring large numbers have been made in the last 20 years.
NADO and LOCK KEY are available as a public-key cryptographic system. Because of unique methods, no key management nor key distribution system is required. The simple API, computational speed, and memory use of less than 5000 bytes enables fast integration into lightweight security applications such as smart cards. The encryption strength and high speed also satisfy extremely secure requirements for satellite communications and defense applications.
